Class Prophecy As I sat down at my typewrrter to wrrte the class prophecy for the class of 58 a thought came to my mrnd IfI am to wrrte about the future why not see some one who really knows about rt? I hurrredly put my coat on and rushed out to frnd my unsuspectrng accomplrce who would help me wrrte the prophecy As I rang the bell of the lrttle broken down cottage I read the srgn over the door whrch boldly proclarmed MADAME DU C EREBRUM SEES ALL KNOWS ALL PAST PRES ENT FUTURE Presently the door was opened by an old woman who was clad rn brrght gar ments and large danglrng earrrngs of gold After statrng my purpose a complete prophecy of the class of 58 of the Mrlford Hrgh School I was ushered rnto a drmly lrt room whrch con tarned two charrs and a table supportrng a large crystal sphere Caressrng the ball she began to chant a strange rhyme As she gazed rntently she sard Yes yes Read carefully for thrs rs what she told me precrsely as she related rt to me I see a porry tarl mrrrrng chemrcals rn a drug store No rt rs a lady named Carol and she rs workrng out a complrcated formula to heal the srck chrld of a very well dressed man The purchaser rs evrdently a very wealthy car dealer Hrs motto rs Mann s Cars For Men In another sectron of the Clly of Mrlford I see a thrn frarl lady named Donna Faye who rs evrdently worn wrth care from supportrng her husband and several chrldren Across the street rs a srgn whrch reads Club Sherry We Specralrze rn Gettrng to Know You Out rn fr ant rs a regular Beau Brummel He goes by the name of Dennrs Van and rs the best dressed man rn Mrlford Other members of your classl frnd rn a large crty nearby called Woodworth Erleen rs the wrfe of a promrnent darry company presrdent Wes Glover rs a drrver for the same com pany but he has drffrculty keeprng hrs Job because of hrs constant teasrng of customers A srgn over the door of a new school for grrls reads How to Keep Your Man Sug Stolts In structor' I the country near Woodworth rs Don Fruendt s Sheep Shearrng Co one of the largest rn the mrddle west Farntly I can see several of the class members on farms rn the nerghborrng countrysrde A woman Sherron Lynne rs workrng rn the farm house krtchen wrth three young chrldren play rng on thc Floor Terry Rrckart rs qurte successful on hrs two sectron farm south of Mrlford whrle the husband of another classmate Marv Ann has been hrt wrth adversrty He has lost all but ten acres of hrs land by wagerrng on horse racrng I can frnd no more of the class around thc old home town but perhaps rf you could cross my palm wrth another frve dollar brll I would be able to see farther rnto the drstance The frve was soon forthcomrng and after some consrderable rubbrng and warlrng she began I can see Lon Anderson rn the prts at the Indranapolrs Race Track sweatrng and groanrng rn a losrng battle to get hrs hot rod on the track agarn Observrng the race from above rn the latest arr force plane rs Mrke Beavers Jerry O Brren also tunes rn from Indranapolrs l-le rs a real estate dealer and has one of the really prosperous companres rn the crty Far away on a huge ocean lrner rs an all grrls band drrected by Crndy Ferdrnand She and her saxophone have become a famous parr A passenger on the boat rs Torn Boyd who rs returnrng wrth several stuffed anrmal heads from hrs recent hunt rn Afrrca Several of the class members seem to have settled rn New York Jo Ann Shoufler rs a nrght club srnger rn the Copacabana Ira Wrllramson rs a blower rn a glass factory and Shar on O Neal rs marrred to a consultrng engrneer They have no chrldren so Sharon entertarns herself by followrng the many sports events rn the crty The remarnrng members of the class are scattered Bev Scharer rs a salmon packer rn Oregon Beverly Garrelts rs housekeeper on the Ersenhower farm rn Vrrgrnra and I frnd Gerry Evans and hrs wrfe and famrly of three chrldren on the hrghway headrng rnto Yellowstone Park for a two weeks vacatron I farl to frnd anyone else Were there others rn the classo No that was all I replred and left the madame to ponder what she had told me THAN KS ron cHooslNG color pre nc HIGHSCHOOL AND COLLEGE YEARBOOKS ., f..r...,..r....r.aa-.
