d lM G1 we Ivan Cox Gloria Evans Rosalie Hartman Rosanna Hawthorne Robert Hix Kay Hixson We had had elections before in grade school, but no such formal meeting as this. We thought we were orderly from grade school days but all of us could see room for improvement. I regret to say that little headway was made as far as gathering together much money. Of course, you can't expect much from Freshmen, but you could rightfully expect more than we had. As the year drew to a close we looked forward to summer free from study. Oh, here's an announcement. Class meetings today fifth hour. Undoubtedly, this is for electing class officers, but who would be good as president and the other offices? It seemed to occur to every- one that Rosanna Hawthorngwould fit perfect and so she was elected by a unanimous majority, President. Then came the other offices. We chose Bob Hix, Vice President, Louise Zinn, Secretary-Treasurer . Phyllis Beatty and David Van Hoveln were Student Council members. Mr. Hitchens and Miss Brunskill served as our new class sponsors. During the year Gloria Evans and Carolyn Brewer served as assis- mnt cheerleaders.
