ICQQQ eSophomore Class l-listoryfIQ33 ln September, l929, we, the class of 1933, passed thru the doors of old M. 'l'. H. S. VVe were harrassed and made fun of by the upper-classmen and often re- ferred to as green frosh. Somehow we withstood all of this abuse and settled down to take part in the activities of our school. On November first, advised by our class advisor, Miss Liggett, we had a l'lallowe'en party in the gymnasium of M. T. H. S. XNith the help of our class advisor, we were able to be represented in almost all of the branches of our school activities. Vvhen the call came for material for the glee clubs, we responded very readily. Several of our members took very prominent parts in the high school operetta. We were well represented in the school orchestra. VVe also had students in the high school declamatory and vocal contests. Several of our number entered athletics, and we had one letter man. VN'e profited very much by our association with our fellow classrnen during our first year and left old lll. 'lf ll. S. to return in the fall of 1930 as sophisticated sophomores. Un September l, l930, we again passed thru the doors of old Nl. 'l'. H. S. to begin another one of our happy school years. 'lihis year we again took part in the school activities. Wle were well repre- sented in the glee clubs, and several of our classmen held leading parts in the high school operetta. VVhen Coach Prosise called for athletes, several of our boys re- sponded. VVe also had six letter men. Some of our number were in the high school band and orchestra and in the declamatory and vocal contests. VVe have enjoyed our first two years at M. T. H. S. and have profited by our associations with our fellow students. VVe are looking forward to our future school years. Motto-'llo the stars through difficulties. Cillftlfi-lilLlC and gold.
