THE TYPHOON 1937 , Q : lt if S PY! E Sfumf HI N 6 R vr 4 I I1 ' Ill ml vllll MILFORD SOHO OL MILFORD, CONNECTICUT TYPHOON 19 Fr is MILFORD SCHOOL FOREWORD T is the purpose of this book to show in brief retrospection the activities that have com- prised the school life at Milford during the school year 1936-1937. To some one who does not know the school the yearbook may seem merely a pictorial review of the year, but to the student it means immeasurable activity and many pleasant memories. For his recollection helps him to see behind the scenes in each of the photographs which this book contains-post- mortems in locker-rooms by victorious or losing teams, the dressing-room tension of the Dramatic Club on a first night, the harmonious caroling of the Quartet by the lighted Christmas tree, the light-hearted gaiety of the Senior Prom. We are leaving Milford this year, but we shall carry with us many happy reminiscences. PHOON 19 MILFORD SCHOOL Speaking both personally and officially, I Wish to extend appre- ciation and congratulations to the faculty adviser and the editorial staff of the Typhoon for 1937. They have labored diligently and well cmd have given us a tangible memory of our year spent together at Milford Many of us will be together again. The Seniors and the Post- Graduates, however, are leaving. We wish for them continued suc- cess, and we believe that such success will come if they will practice those ideals for living which We have stressed this year-the finest performance of self and the rnost thorough co-operation with the group in which one is working. These ideals, consistently held, will as- sure their satisfactory futures and will perpetuate our pride in thern. --Paul D. Shafer. TYPHOON 1937 Mr. William A. Pulliri, A.B.
