Freshman Initiation Wtho were those funny dressed boys and girls running around? Why, they were none other than the Freshmen gladly doing what they were told by their friends, The Seniors. Below is a description of what the Freshmen wore. .Tim Head... Diaper Dan g diapers, milk bottle, and baby cap. Gary Shandy...Dressed as Marilyn Monroe with girl's shorts, midriff, shoes, scarf and lipstick. V Jay Christensen...Girl's shorts, midriff, scarf, cowboy boots, and lipstick. Charlie Luthi...Skirt with twenty-six inch waist upside down, eight ribbons in hair, sandals, girl's halter and plenty of lipstick. X Janice Brighton...Dressed as alave girl with tears up the side of ,a sheet and one shoulder bare. Joan Shandy...Men's overalls backwards, her dad's shirt, different shoes, woman's hat. V-Ona Davis... Girl's swimming suit, hair in praids, carrying beach towel, and high heel shoes Roberta Leabo...Man's shirt, 1ady's slip and work shoes. Thursday night, September tenth the Seniors held Kangaroo court for the Freshxnen. Here the disobeying ones had to perform feats such as boxing, feeding spaghetti blindfolded. A passing the spit cup, rolling jelly beans with their noses, 'and eating crackers. The Seniors then served pop and cookies for refreshments. Everyone was then off to the show at Junction City. JJ O .Tumor Play Nowhere Fast One of the most unusual of its kind was the Junior Play. This thrilling event took place December llth, in the high school auditorium. The cast consisted of! Rita Adams, a mystery writer , Darlene Walters: Alice Arnold, the daughter of Deborah Arnold , Barbara Heskettg Deborah Arnold, middle aged , Anna Johnstong Frank Robins, movie actor in disguise , Larry Jonesg Bradford Smythe, a man who is afraid , Jim Headg Harvey Lawrence well dressed, arrives unexpectedly , Richard Kanawyerg A Woman, mystery , Charlotte Bentz. This mystery comedy takes place in a tourist camp, Nowhere . When the bank ' f 'ten thousand dollars and two people are killed in the holdup, the ' ' d all roads seem to lead to nowhere. town is robbed o ous criminals an f a ready- of a nearby countryside is combed for the danger Things begin to happen and fast. Rita Adams finds herself in the middle o made plot. Everyone tries to solve the mystery, and argurnents and threats are thrown on everyone. But all ends well as the men are captured and all the people at Nowhere are pro- claimed innocent. ' Between acts the Juniors borrowed talent from the other classes. A vocal duet, Whispering Shadows , Roy Head and Gene Christensen between the first and second acts. Larry Jones presented the gift to Miss Thacker the sponsor, between the second and third act. Z0
