Ode To The Seniors Two fair maidens And five strong youths, Entered Milford High School To seek out life's truths, Martin Dornberger and Raymond Shivers Are the best of pals, They both give attention To all of the gals, Velma Stevens and Charlotte Bentz Truly a perfect blend, For, to heck with the studies, It's all out for the men, Roy Head and Velrna Stevens Make a perfect pair, She with her cheering ability He with his curly hair, Now Raymond Shivers and Gene Christensen Their names beginning with R and G Ohf They have so much in common When it's just the letters R and G Martin Dornberger and Gene Christensen The tall and the small, Gene with his sports stands strong with all But, staunch is Martin as Old King Saul, And finally our President, Roy Head And Charlotte Bentz the lucky one, They fight for the right And are as brilliant as the sun, So fair were the maidens And, as strong were the youths, As they left Milford High School To seek out life's TRUTHS,

Junior-Senior Banquet One of the most unusual of its kind was the junior-Senior Banquet held May 1, 1954 in the high school gym, The theme of the banquet was Come With Me To The Mardi Gras, The gym was gaily decorated like that of a. French Royal Court with red, purple, and gold colors predominating, A red carpet was spread to the entrance covered with a canopy.. Confetti and streamers, with a sprinkling of decorated ballhf-me helped to make the gym more festival, The waiters and waitresses were dressed as court j6StC1'S and dancing girls res- pectively, The invocation was given by Rev, G, W, Crippen, xne program was as follows: Making Merry by Larry Jonesg Every Day'Formality by Roy He-adg Romantic New Orleans ---Take-Offsg Royal Coronation by Arthur jones: Your Fr'ivolity ---Farewell, To carry outthe theme of the banquet, the following menu was prepared by the missionary 'society and served by the Sophomore class, Festival cupsg royalty favorg masked potatoesg strearnersg confetti saladg French rolls: spirits de New O1-leans3jester's delight, - The Senior class colors are red and white, Their class flower is the red rose and the class motto is UBACKBONE NOT WIS!-lBONE, The slogan for the Senior class is keep your face toward the sun and you won't see the shadow, ' The junior class colors are lavender and yellow.
