S Class History , Looking back over the years in the history of Milford Rural High School, we find that in the fall of 1954-, the old dusty trail has come to an end, We are now leaving our old Alma Mater and are going into a new and strange life. As we look back, we see many exciting experiences, There were seven scared and excited boys and girls that started our Freshman year, They were Velma Stevens, Charlotte Bentz, Raymond Shivers, Gene Christensen, Roy,Head, Merrill Jones, and Bill Bruce, Mrs, jones was our sponsor who helped us over the rough spots of our first year, During our Sophomore year we lost one of our members, Bill Bruce. Our class was now six in number, Mr, Spear was our sponsor, Going into our junior year, we started with six hard studying pupils, There were many exciting experiences such as doing things to make money for our Senior year, with the aid of our sponsor, Miss Thacker, The time finally came when we could call ourselves Seniors, With a new recruit, Martin Dornberger, from Wakefield, Cur Senior year was the most joyous of our years in high school, aided by the ,splendid co- operation of our sponsor, Mr, jones, W E THE SENIORS As Freshmen, we entered high school Practically as green as gourds, Some of us losing and gaining And some of us somewhat bored, As Sophomores, we were ready to start anew Thinking that we were a part of the school, But at the end of the first semester We were knocked completely off our stool, We became juniors with quite a thrill Keeping in mind the work along with the fun, All the while having to work up hill Until the year's work was done, , As the Senior year floated along, some of Us shed a tear, some shouted with glee But I say let bygones be bygones, l'rn for questioning the future of us all,
