Field Hockey Again this year Miss Jean Shelley coached our varsity hockey girls to victory and a county championship. Girls who took part in their second consecutive year of varsity hockey were: Doris Merriken, left wing, Pat Lee, left inner, Nancy Weiller, right inner, Barbara Maier, right halfback, Annette Warren, center halfback, Marylyn Goode, left half- back, and Barbara Stubbs, goalie. In the past two years our Varsity Hockey Team has made a record of fifteen wins and one loss, which forms a standard we hope will be maintained. Best of luck to both Varsity and .IV teams in their coming years of hockey participation.

Highlights of the season were the team's defeat of Catonsville 7-3, and the I-l tie with Towson in the last game of the year. Outstanding players were Franco Millich, foreign-exchange student, Wil- lie Metzger, Bob Bafford, Bob Bauhof, and Charles Pittinger. The team finished the season with 3 wins, 3 losses, and 2 ties.
