Using the equipment available in the reading laboratory enabled a student to improve his reading ability. Mrs. Ursula Miss Ann Lyston Miss Donna Chaney Schwartz Under the direction of Mrs. Ursula Schwartz, the reading laboratory helped students to improve their reading ability. This year more students than before used the facilities avail- able in the reading lab. While enlarging upon the college courses, the reading laboratory extended its programs into the English classrooms. In this Way, the reading programs helped more students and motivated many to take courses in the lab itself. ln addition, a student aid program was set up whereby students were helped by other students with their reading problems. The library officially became a multimedia center. In addition to books and other resource materials, the library contained many records, films, and filmstrips. More students were able to use these aids available to them because a filmstrip-record projector and portable microfilm readers were added to the visual aid equipment. The card catalogue was an invaluable aid for finding research materials.
