NY use mf in it 5 s gunner t ,Q s...-1 Attempting to make a point. Mr. Siegel turned from the blackboard to see if it was understood by his class. The completion of the new Physics and General Science Laboratories, in addition to all the science preparation rooms, ended the three year renovation program in the Science Department. All of the science rooms have now been equipped as laboratories in order to provide the best possible experiences for the students. Among the many changes in the curriculum was the ex- perimental Marine Biology course, under the instruction of department head, Miss Mary Oilirien. While her class sat quietly, Miss Elaine Barbce demonstrated her vocal techniques . usic Department Adds New Courses The Music Department experienced many changes with the addition of several new courses. Modern Music, Piano, Music Literature, and Vocal Techniques have helped students to develop and discover their musical talents and capabilities. The band. directed by Mr. Donald Costello. performed during half-time of football games, and played at the annual Spring Concert, and at an assembly. For those students who possessed singing talents, there was the A Cappella Choir. Mr. Harry Lingdell directed the choir for the annual Christmas Assembly and the Spring Concert. Miss Elaine Barbee, besides being di- rector of Girls' Chorus. found time to direct the Senior Play.
