I Editor-in-Chief ,. .Virginia Novak as ,f W 7 The Good Companions -- the theme of our Yearbook -- reflects the happy companionship that has been ours through our high school years. Priestley's novel from which our theme is taken relates how a group of people representing all walks of life join in a spirit of gay and loyal comradeship. At the close of the book each person continues on a separate path, each having gained from his association with others. Thus, our Yearbook contains mirth and humor as well as the serious- ness brought about by the solemn task of greeting the world. As we turn the pages of our Yearbook, we shall relive many of the events which are gone but never will be fbigottqn. T , , Q Nu 0 --.. A s y Q Y s 4 vi ' in 1 v . -. r 5 o 5 fl Q ,. Most likely you will if you have any ambition be- cause there always seems to be an abundance of activities in this final year of high school. No matter how large or small the committee may be, it helps you gain contact with many persons you have not had any reason to meet at other times. I know you, as well as every other senior in the Class of 1953, will remember with fondness the hectic committee forming week. The 1953 basketball team, although lcking much needed height, will long be remembered for its spirit and hustle. Milford's record of 2 wins and 14 losses does not show the value of a team that faced a very formidable array of adver- saries. Game after game basketball powerhouses came to Milford to be outfought and outscored for the major part of the game. Height and experience usually paid off for the visiting teams, however: since late in the second half Milford would be overtaken and defeated.
