Glass Prophecy Having just received our vacation from Kru Hospital, we decided to make a tour of New York. As we step aboard a sight-seeing bus, who should be driving but Bill S.? He gave up his idea of being a farmer and came to the big city to live. You can guess who the guide was-no one else but Clifford R. They soon informed us that a few of our classmates were also in town. Passing a corner drug store, we learned that Kenneth Ryman was Chief Pharmacist there. Wanting to visit him. we descended to the Sidewalk and entered. Im- mediately Kenny snapped on the radio and informed us that The Hour of Charm would soon be on, starring Betty M. Tom. Upon leaving, we en- countered Lois Jessop airing her latest. Being quite tired. we stopped in at the U.S.O. There we found Paul Becker, Bill Brown. Charles Haab, Bill Little. Bob Fox. Fritz Wolferman, Ray Sorensen, and Duane Scott, who have been brought together by an act of fate. Of course, we had quite a bit of inquiring to do. From Charles we found out that Marilyn Fuller was still in college. Bill informed us that Pat Stookey is working part-time in a dentists office. Starting on our way again, we came to a large hospital. Entering it, we came upon a very charming receptionist who turned out to be Gwendolyn Kreider. Continuing along the hall, we viewed Mary L. Hamman examining a bug through a microscope. Coming from the opposite direction, we saw a tall doctor in a surgical gown. As he approached, we discovered it was Philip Whirledge on his way to perform an appendectomy on the former Phyllis Evans. Out in the air again, we decided to stop and have our hair fixed. Seeing a sign topped, A'Dausman's Beauty Nook, we took a chance on it being the Dausman we knew in school, lt was. There was Opal slaving away in the midst of pin curls, finger waves, etc. There, we had the luck of meeting an- other one of our classmates. Marilyn Cuardner, assisting her. After an hour of visiting we strolled farther and spied a bright red sign reading. McDonalds Gym. She certainly lived up to her part in the 'AMad Hattersf' as we found her busily working with dumbbells, Indian clubs. etc. We certainly thought our vacation had been IHOSI satisfactory, for we had seen so many of our old friends. So here we go back at our twelve-hour duty with many happy memories. PAT BAUMGARTNER Noizmfx KLINL5 Page Fifteen
