Ruleman Recessional . .......... '. . . .Concert Band I Q Audience Standingj Linda Johnson and Wendell Williams received Senior Leadership Awards, Class Night of 1965. Junior High Citizenship Awards were presented to Linda Johnson and Larry Johnson of the seventh grade, and Susan Schoning and Gene Miller of the eighth grade. High School Citizenship Awards were presented to Sudee Clark and Marlowe Anderson of the freshman class, Judy Breidinger and Mike Scott of the sophomore class, and Linda Vance and Tom Arends of the junior class. The Iowa Bar Association Award was awarded to David Schomberg. Latona Peterson and Wendell Williams were presented with the Arion Award. The recipients of the Library Awards were David Beving, Eleanor Lambertus, and Linda Vance. Mr. Twaddle and Mrs. Davis presented the Speech Awards to LeRoy Barriage, Latona Peterson, Phyllis Gottsche, Jane White, and Jenny Jones. David Jorth was Awarded the Bausch and Lomb Science Award. The DeKalb Award was given to Russ Boles and the Home Economics Award was given to Jeanne Derner. Bonnie Goodell, a freshman, was presented the Mathematics Award. Last year six of the Class of 1965, Linda Noble, Terry McDonald, James Askeland, Jeanne Derner, Jim Trebbien, and Dave Jorth signed the National Honor Roll. This year Latona Peterson, Ronald Poole, Linda Johnson, and Mary Jo Lambert added their names. To conclude the evening Tim Hemphill presented a check to the school in behalf of the Seniors to be used towards the purchase of a podium.

Harley Wheeler Recessional . ............. . .Concert Band fAudience Standingj CLASS NIGHT The annual class and award night was held Wednesday, May 26, in the high school auditorium. The seniors began the evening by driving to Vern and Coila's where they were accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Iverson and Mr. and Mrs. Gunderson. An enjoyable evening was spent by all who attended. In the high school auditorium, the juniors had placed the senior class motto, Today we followg Tomorrow we lead. The seniors chose Dark Blue and Silver as their colors. The welcome was given by Linda Noble, class president. Then Mr. Iver- son presented the attendance awards. Mr. Gunderson presented the senior leadership awards, and he also presented the junior high citizenship awards. Mr. Bob Mont- gomery presented the Iowa Bar Association Award. The class poem was read by Betty Banks. The library awards were presented by Mr. Emerick. Mrs. Davis and Mr. Twad dle presented the speech awards. Mr. Prather presented the Bausch and Lomb Science Award. The Agriculture Awards were presented by Mr. M. Edwards. After Julia Knudtson dedicated the annual to Mr. John Yore, Miss Moran presented the Home Economics Award to Jeanne Derner. The presentation of the Cheerleader Awards was given by Mrs. Branstetter. Ray Hemphill, the junior class president, accepted the traditional mantle presented by the senior class president, Linda Noble. This was followed by the signing of the National Honor Roll conducted by Mr. Gunderson, Mr. Gunderson also gave the presentation of the Scholarship Winners. The final event of the evening was the presentation of the senior gift to the Milford Community School by Tim Hemphill.
