Jansen, Carol Meyer, and Nancy Nims were not with us During the remainder of our schooling that year Darrell Marchand,Chuck Pearson, and Harold Simpson left our classes Shortly after the Junior class play Vlolette Ann Paul moved to Decorah Homecoming was very successful this year as the Juniors won first our float, uwheel of Victory and also on our skit Next was the unior class play, uF1nders reepers It took alot of time effort Friday the thirteenth was a lucky day for us as we re ceived our class rings We call all of the fun which we had while working on our very suc eessful Junior Senior Banquet and Prom The theme was Southern Plantation, complete with a show boat and plantation house Don and His Dlxielanders played at the Prom Now to the last chapter of our history This paragraph will be devoted to the Seniors of the Class of 1954 Our spon sore for this last year were Mr Green and Mr Wise Our prize winning float, as usual, took a division I rating, while our skit only rated II During our senior year we lost Leonard Tuel and Mary Berning Carol Grim, Karen Mor1sky,Bob Moritz, and Mac Mitchell transferred to other schools Carol Meyer turned from California to grad uate with us The class roll twenty four in number, contains the following names Philip Antisdel Paul Anderson, Robert Benzkofer, Robert Berning, Russell Dodge, John Drexler, Denny Green Raymond Holla, Dick Long, Smith Schuneman, Eddie Sternberg, Orlin Trojahn Janet Benedict, Gloria merlck Eunice Hakeman, Joyce Henry Alta Meyer,Dcra Morgan,Theresa Schott Barbara Taylor Marvel Truax, and Margaret Kinkade Of this group, only eight members have been in school the entire thirteen years They are Philip Ant1sdel,Raymond Holle Virginia Jacobs,Margaret Kinkade, Smith Schuneman, Marvel Truax, Eddie Sternberg, and Gloria Emerick While progressing towards graduation, only two the school staff have served during our entire th1Pt60D years Our class wishes thank Mr Vander Wilt Our superintendent, for all of his advice, and Mr Truax, our school custodian, for Keeping our rooms always clean To these two men, our class says in its warmest way, thanks for all of your help. . 1 .
