“When our class climbed the fourth grade we all felt that maybe someday we could graduate Our class roll con tained twenty three names Upon examining it, we found that Jon Colvin, Lyle Larson Rose Mary Lutz Darlene Kehoe Teddy Bol and kathrvn Hostetter were longer a part of our class How ever Eunice Hakeman arrived just in time again to join our class During the year,Sh1rley Jackson Dean Dawson George Han son, and Allan Jones also join ed our group We remember well all the times that many of spent hours after school weren't staying to study for OUP teacher Miss Arndt either After putting all of those her closet, Mrs McElroy nounced that she was ready for our class Twenty five eager to learn children kept her busy the entire year Our fifth grade year was ment in learning all kinds of new things Mary Ann Marchand, Dean Dawson and Shir- ley Jackson were no longer part of the group During the year Carol Paschke left however to replace her Teddy Bol return ed to our institution cf learn ing In the fifth grade gained some valuable ahtletes as well as more new class mem bers Russell Dodge and Orlin Trojahn Joined our group Other new members included Mereb Mill and Mar aret Parks We remember Mrs Mc roy s famous cdlection of magazines which she used freely on our heads and backs when talking was too frequent In sixth grade, Miss Elsie Mae Haight found that a group of wild animals are easier t keep silent than any one of her twenty six students The class roll showed that Lee Ann Jones and Allan Jones were no lon er with us New members h sixth grade class included Joe Barnard Joyce Henry Chuck Pearson, and Trudy Morrison W remember when Mr Vander Wilt made a surprise attack via the hall way and apprended Teddy Bol and Leonard Tuel for dis turbing the girls A rule which was enforced after Mr Vander W1lt's attack stated that any one caught talking or disturb ing the girls would be subject week When school ended many of us found ourselves with more weeks to make up than there were in the summer vacation months ' A new experience was store for our group during seventh grade We were prepar ing for high school and for the first time had a male teacher Mr Wayne Foo: was our newteach er, and upon taking roll found our class to contain only twenty one students This can be accounted for by our loss during the summer months Trudy M0PP180n Mar aret Parks, George Hanson Joe arnard and Dora Lea Morgan During our first year of Junior high we to ' O - , 0 s , 1 no ' , ' , or T e ' 9 9 2 v ' e .' us , .
