Our school committee meeting in executive session! Mr. Michael J. DeCesare; Attorney Pacifico DeCapua; Mr. Robert McGinnis; Dr. Thomas DePalo; Mr. Ernest Lombardi; Attorney Alfred B. Cenedella, Jr.; Supt. of Schools David I. Davoren. We the class of 1962 wish to express our deepest gratitude to the School Committee. We sincerely ap¬ preciate the time and effort they have devoted in advancing the Milford school system. This year, for the first time since World War II, a member of this committee, Pacifico DeCapua, is serving in the armed forces overseas. The other five members are carrying on in his absence. Presently the major problem of the school commit¬ tee is finding space for additional pupils. Two of our classrooms are now being used by elementary students. The School Committee of 1862 probably faced problems similar to those of the committee of 1962. We are sure that the first graduating class was as grateful to their committee as we are to ours. SCHOOL COMMITTEE Vice Chairman Robert McGinnis and Chairman Thomas DePalo discuss policies pertaining to school business.

To The Graduates Of 1962 As you approach commencement, undoubtedly you will reflect and take inventory of your achievement in the past as well as your prospects for the future. We pray tha t full advantage of the schools offering has been taken by each of you. We trust that you have built strong foundations in the development of your mind, your body and your character. We hope that you are adequately equipped to meet the awesome challenges which lie ahead of young people embarking upon adult life in the nuclear age. Your class has the distinction of being the centennial class to graduate from Milford High School. I am confident that you shall measure up to the expectations of your parents and teachers. It is my most sincere wish that you will not only equal but surpass the accomplishment and achievement of previous graduates as you leave this school and come to grips with the problems which lie ahead of you. With God’s blessing, may each of you achieve the ultimate in happiness and success. David I. Davoren
