Meef 0144 School eammiflee 5 , l , E l Our school committee is a very versatile group. Several of the most important careers are listed as occupations by its members. The medical profession was represented by Dr. Capece, who is also a member of our board of Health. Marco Balzarini represents the business interests in town, as manager of one of our super markets. I-le is also a member of the board of Selectmen. Wallace Q'Brien in his capacity as lnvestigator for the Registry of Motor Vehicles, shows great interest in the safety programs designed for the schools. A new member of the committee, lohn Pyne brings to the committee a knowledge of working conditions and the needs of a new graduate. Mr. Pyne is employed at Draper Corporation. Attorney William Bellantonio, the vice chairman of the committee, in addition to his law practice he also performs the duties of Probation Officer for the local district court. The chairman of our committee, Attorney Anna M. O'Brien, created history this year. Mrs. 0'Brien became the first woman to be named chairman of a local school committee. Among the innovations made under the guidance of our committee was the new Cafeteria. The brain-child of Mr. Davoren, our Superintendent, the cafe- teria has become most popular in our school life and activities.

Mr. Tosches has played an ever increasing important part in our lives. With a firm, gentle hand he has guided us through the vast pitfalls of eager adolescence. Keenly devoted to his students, Mr. Tosches has displayed sincere warmth and un- derstanding in dealing with our personal problems.
