These are the teachers who have directed our lives for the past four years. They have imparted to us much valuable information which we may use in our future lives as citizens. To them we express our grateful thanks for all their aid and our hope that they may co ntinue in their wonderful work. Do you want to become an efficient secretary? Then visit our office practice room which is under the capable supervision of Miss Farese, our commercial department head. None of us will ever forget the interesting meeting of the Junior Science Club, held under the competent direction of Mr. Metcalf, our genial physics and biology teacher. Are you looking for Mr. Moran? He is our ubiquitous Guidance Director who is liable to be found anywhere from the boiler room to the third floor offering advice and guidance to the pupils. Have you ever passed A-15 and heard some noises which seemed to resemble music? It was probably either the French or German Club holding a meeting under the direction of Miss Pianca, our amiable foreign language expert. At different times of the day when you pass Dr. Ryan ' s room, you may either hear Latin verbs being conjugated or Shakespeare being discussed. Neither class is ever boring, Dr. Ryan is forever telling us amusing anecdotes to help lighten our dreary talks. Would you like to learn: 1. How to run a movie projector; 2. How to use a Leica or a Zeiss; 3. How to drive a car; 4. The Dagger Speech; 5. To publish a yearbook; 6. Who won World War II? Drop into B-15. Many an expert typist has come from Miss Eva Burns ' Class, where pleasure and work are mixed to the perfect combination. The work she has done in making future secretaries will long be remembered. The dainty petite woman who teaches geography and French is a patient and efficient instructress. She must have some sixth sense, for she always seems k know who is talk¬ ing even with her back turned. Miss Calarese is one of our most energetic teachers. She is very conscientious and is always examing the ledgers of her bookk eeping students. Has she ever asked you, Is it a debit or a credit? Mrs. Margaret Burns is the very tiny woman who has charge of our budding chemists. Don ' t let outward appearances deceive you, however, for although she is very small in stature, she is great in mind and heart. No one can decide whether Francis Fitter Cahill is more at home on the playing field or seated behind his desk in Room B-8. When his classes are in session, whether they be on the football field, or in the classroom, the golden rule is strictly adhered to. To Miss Dorothy Callahan, our dignified and sedate English teacher, we give thanks for many a pleasant hour spent delving into the mysteries of the English language. The memory of Miss Callanan ' s Friday history quizzes will forever remain in our minds Mr. DiGiannantonio Dr. Ryan Miss Colavita Miss O ' Connell b
