THE CLASS OF ’68 PRESENTS . . . THE HAPPY “I got the feelin’!” A daydream believer and a The rain, and the bus, and other things . . HOURS OF 1968 Our spirited government class!?! where’s Your white hat!? Walking down the Whatever happened to Mom’s cooking?! straight and narrow! Anne Boleyn was the first to lose her head over Henry . . . And which one would you like a date with? SENIORS Colonel Quinn’s personal slave Whether coaching on the basketball court, the soccer field, or conducting a physical education class, Mr. McGinniss has proven himself a most valuable asset to Milford High School in the last three years. Not only has he contributed to the curriculum as an outstanding teacher, but he has also set a fine example for the students as a well respected member of the community. Above all, he has become an understanding friend to all students fortunate enough to have been associated with him. For these and other reasons, the 1968 Yearbook Staff is proud to dedicate “The Happy Hours of ’68” to Mr. Daniel McGinniss, the Greatest Guy, and the Greatest Coach in the world. ADMINISTRA TION Teeman P. Haithcock, Principal May you succeed in attaining your goals in life by always realizing that the obstacles you meet may be overcome by your faith and determination. Good luck to the Class of 1968. Teeman P. Haithcock, Principal Some things are not missed until they are wasted. This applies to our physical and mental inheritances. All of us know that our bodies must be properly nurtured, exercised, and used. At Milford High School five periods of Health and Physical Education are offered each week to encourage among other things proper ex- ercise, diet, and care of our physical capacities which have so much to do with mental successes. How can anyone think it is smart to use drugs for hallucinations or abuse himself through excesses of any kind knowing full well that without a healthy mind and body he will be greatly handicapped? Recently a speaker in our community remarked, “There are few Juvenile Delinquents, but there are many Delinquent Parents.” Many thanks to the Class of ’68 for collating the MILFORDian which will bring us many fond memories in the future. Superintendent C. T. Dickerson Willard T. Hickman THE SCHOOL BOARD LEFT TO RIGHT: C. Dickerson, P. Portz, J. Glenn, C. Tease, J. Walls. To The Class of 1968 It has been a deep source of pleasure to have been associ- ated with you during your High School years. In retrospect I may say that I have listened to your tales of woe; had sympathy for your problems and shared your delight at your successes. 1 wish for you a kind but challenging future as you go your separate ways. PEPE’S PAGE Pcpe’s host family was the family of Mr. and Mrs. David Friedman. August to June is a very short time. I wish it could be possible for me to stay in Milford longer. This has been the most wonderful year of my life. I enjoyed not only learning about the American way of life in school, but in meeting all of you and making so many friends. 1 haven’t been homesick a single day. 1 don’t want to think of leaving Milford and all my friends here because then I’m sure 1 will be homesick, homesick for Milford. Milford has been home for me during this year and I love it as if 1 had lived here all my life. 1 enjoyed everything I did in Milford and I want to thank all the people who have made this most wonderful experience in my life possible. I really don’t have words to express what this year has been for me. 1 want to thank very much my wonderful parents, sisters and brother, all the teachers at Milford High School who were always so nice and so helpful, all my friends, and all the other people whom 1 enjoyed meeting. I would like to mention the many names of my friends but space prohibits this. Now I have to return to Caracus, Venezuela but 1 won’t forget my Ameri- can town and school because I’ll be going back home a “Milfordian” and a “Buccaneer.” Now 1 can only say - Please, never forget me be- cause I won’t ever forget you!
