F.B.LA. The FBLA chapter was fairly active this year. To start the year off, the officers went to Miss Erb- man's house for supper. For FBLA week the officers put on a Business person's Coffee and brought cookies for the teachers lounge. The organization held a fall dance in November and the officers had a toy drive for a Lincoln orphanage. The new advisor did a great job keeping the group going. At State Leadership Convention (April 2-4) the chapter won a trophy for best activities report. Sonja Pla- cek placed 3rd in spelling and 6th in Business Communications, Marilyn Forst received two Flonorable mentions; one in proofreading and the other in Typing I, Knowledge, and Jennie Harral won honorable mention in the Job Interview con- test. We were very proud of these awards. Sonja Placek resigned as Parliamentarian because of a heavy schedule and Brenda Roth was voted in as the new officer. Sonja did a super job as an officer but felt it would be better for the chapter if she resigned. The year was brought to an end with the elec- tion of next year’s officers and a chapter party.
