They promoted the jury system and made it available to all students, plus handled more student government projects to make themselves better known. The big project this year was the painting of the lunchroom. The Student Council chose this project to hopefully revive the school spirit that once roamed the halls at Milford High. Thanks Student Council!! The Math Team participated this year in the 19th annual Creighton University Mathematics Field Day. Milford entered two teams, each consisting of five members. They competed in Division two, which con- sisted of class B and some smaller class A schools. All of the students finished the difficult mathematic problems in the upper half with Karen H., Deb D., and Karen G. finishing exceptionally well. The Math Team did a super job and is hoping to do even better next year. Front Row: Karen G., Karen H., Todd V. 2nd Row: Jeri K., Jenny P., Doug M., Kathy B., Linda R. F.B.LA. The FBLA chapter was fairly active this year. To start the year off, the officers went to Miss Erb- man's house for supper. For FBLA week the officers put on a Business person's Coffee and brought cookies for the teachers lounge. The organization held a fall dance in November and the officers had a toy drive for a Lincoln orphanage. The new advisor did a great job keeping the group going. At State Leadership Convention (April 2-4) the chapter won a trophy for best activities report. Sonja Pla- cek placed 3rd in spelling and 6th in Business Communications, Marilyn Forst received two Flonorable mentions; one in proofreading and the other in Typing I, Knowledge, and Jennie Harral won honorable mention in the Job Interview con- test. We were very proud of these awards. Sonja Placek resigned as Parliamentarian because of a heavy schedule and Brenda Roth was voted in as the new officer. Sonja did a super job as an officer but felt it would be better for the chapter if she resigned. The year was brought to an end with the elec- tion of next year’s officers and a chapter party.
