The glee club sang at the United Nations Day program and the Education Week presentation. A Christmas pageant was presented in December. Small groups included a triple trio and a sextette. They presented numbers at various community affairs, and the sextette sang for the Victory Queen program. These vocal groups attended the Trailway, County, and District contests. The band played at several football and all the home basketball games this year. They also participated in other school programs and led the Home¬ coming parade in October. They were awarded first place for being the outstanding group in the parade. In February the group played at the County Band Festival in Seward. THIRD ROW: L. Luebbe, R. Smith, J. Dainton. Softball, touch football, hit pin baseball, volleyball, and basketball were the sports played throughout the year. This class helped to create better sports¬ manship as well as to develop skill in games. SPORTS GIRL—NAOMI EIGSTI Naomi Eigsti is Sports Girl of 1952. She was chosen by the girls in physical education as the one most out¬ standing in sportsmanship and athletic skill. Naomi well deserves the title of Sports Girl for she has shown top sportsmanship, not only in physical education but in all school activities. She also is an outstanding team member of all the sports in which she participated. — 28 — Naomi Eigsti
