Merrill, J. Miller, N. Eigsti. . The F.H.A. organization has accomplished a great deal this year. Twenty- seven girls belong to this national club. During, the summer ten newly-elected officers attended Workshop at Doane College for three days. The girls became acquainted with the duties of their offices at this conference. This year the F.H.A. girls sold Christmas cards, sponsored a roller skating party with the F.F.A., and gave a party for their mothers. They also collected clothes for the F.H.A. Bundle Day, a national project of sending old clothes overseas. The F.H.A. and F.F.A. sponsored a cooperative dinner to which families of members, the faculty, and the board of education were guests. The average attendance at the meetings during the year was thirty. There were nine Green Hands initiated as members of the chapter after the meeting on October 8, 1951. The F.F.A. participated in the Homecoming parade in October, their float winning second place. In December, the F.F.A. and the F.H.A. sponsored a cooperative dinner for their parents. The faculty and Board of Education mem¬ bers were also invited. During the year, the chapter sponsored a pest-eradication contest with the losing side paying for eats at a fishing party this spring. The top three boys in the contest received prizes. To earn money for their treasury, the chapter members sold ads for the football and basketball schedule cards. OFFICERS President . Smith, Mascot, J. Yost, I. Becker. Pep Club is open to any girl in high school and eighth grade who main¬ tains a 3 average. This year there were twenty-eight members. The club sold candy, apples, pop corn, doughnuts, coffee, and pop at all home games. The Pep Club sponsored a Homecoming celebration in October, which honored Milford High Alums and included a bonfire rally and parade. The event was considered very successful. They also presented a victory queen and attendants in February at the annual Victory Queen program preceding the district basketball tournament.
