The main activities of the class were the junior play, Take It Easy, presented in November and the junior-senior banquet given in May. The class also decorated for the senior baccalaureate and commencement. Miss Huston is the sponsor, and Mrs. Godbey is her assistant. ij — don Naomi Eigsti, after having gone steady for eleven years, is now married and lives on a large sheep ranch in Hesston, Kansas. Donna Fahrlander is a big wheel in politics and is running for the office of Postmaster Ge neral for the term beginning in 1962. Lorence Forst is playing pro-basketball after breaking Clyde Lovellette ' s scoring records. They call him Leaping Lorence. Don Freeman has invented a new growth hormone which makes every¬ body tall. He now stands six feet four. Tom Godbey is a deep-sea diver working for a salvage company in the vicinity of Coon Creek. Larry Jantze is living in Mexico where he holds the title The World ' s Champion Bull Thrower. Norman Kuzel has migrated to Czechoslovakia where he is professor of Cacklejack languages at the University of Prague. Laura Luebbe is co-starring with Roy Rogers in the new western movie hit, Saddlesore. Joyce Miller is president of the Miller ' s High Life Company, after eight years of extensive executive training. Roland Miller is now a professional wrestler and is known as one of the meanest boys in the ring. Norman Roll has established a baker y in Ruby, Nebraska, where he specializes in making nut rolls. Ted Schirmer is now a co-partner in the Conner Roofing Company of Milford. Ray Schweitzer is now a champion brahma bull rider. He says driving a Crosley gave him the natural knack to ride bulls. Ruth Smith is a piano player in the New York symphony orchestra. Bob Stutzman discovered oil on his dad ' s farm and is now a big oil king. Delane Welsch is playing pro-football for the Cleveland Browns. Janice Yost has her own television program where she is the kiddie ' s favorite cowgirl, Tripalong Calamity. The sophomore year, the second step That twenty-three did take, Was high lighted by biology class And the teacher, Mary Jaque. For our junior banquet theme The western style proved lucky Then presentation of our play We found to be Just Ducky. Our senior year has now gone by We ' ve reached Commencement Day This aim we wish to leave behind: Prepare for tomorrow today. But now the time has come to leave These gay times all behind And if the work could be forgotten We ' d like to stay, we find. Jantze, J. Roth. The largest class in school, the sophomores, are twenty-eight strong. There are thirteen boys and fifteen girls. They sponsored a roller skating party on November 12 in Seward. Three sophomore girls helped the junior class by participating in its play. Waiters and waitresses were chosen from this class to serve at the junior-senior banquet in the spring. Mr. Kuhre is the class sponsor.
