CLASS HISTHHY In the fall of 1940, 63 green but enthusiastic freshies entered Milford Hi. We chose as our leader Dot Kindt. Dorothy Woodmane see, Betty Taylor, and Evelyn Gronberg aided her in directing the destiny of our class. Mr. Kackley and Mr. Shelley gave a bit of fatherly advice and thoughtful guidance to all of us. When we returned to our classes in the fall of 444133, we had lost twelve of our former number. All of those returning were full of life and igrarin, to go? Again we had four girls at the head of our class. Dot Kindt was again president; this time Emily Scott, Elizabeth Agin, and Evelyn Gronberg were her able assistants. Our third year found even more of our friends and classmates missing from the fold. This year the boys decided to come out of the fog and take a hand in running the affairs of the junior class. For this all-important job Bill Easley was chosen. Earl Hayes, Bill Hart- zell, and Betty Taylor were the other officers of the junior class. Miss Baker and Mr. JeHers produced the class play entitled iiFirst Dancei, p- they were helped by an all-girl cast. For their Banquet the Juniors used the theme of an old-fashioned garden; Emily Scott acted as toast-mistress. With the beginning of the 1943-44 school year, we could see the end of our career as inmates of Milford Hi. We selected for the important role of leader of the senior class, Earl Hayes. He and Rita Molitor, Dot Kindt, and Bill Hartzell had the great task of bringing us safely and triumphantly through the last and probably the greatest year of our journey through high school. We presented two plays, 44Act Your Age34 and iiPoor Dear Edgar? Besides this, every member of the senior class was called upon to do his part in whatever he could so that we might be able to leave an annual as a remembrance of us to those of coming years. Elizabeth Agin, our capable editor, worked untiringly to produce what we hope will be a lasting remembrance of the class of n44f: n-RENA COLYER.
