RICHARD BATES Advisor MR, WARNER WALES Ass't. Advisor Class History and Will In September 1954, we entered high school with nineteen Freshmen. Mr. Kelson was our advisor. Our officers were Dick Bobnick, Jamie McGonigal, Alfred Bermett, Caroll Pangman. The class participated in many activities having nine members in chorus, ten in band, eight on I. V. basketball, one on the baseball team, and two J,V, cheerleaders. Mr. Kelson gave us our initiation which I don't think we will ever forget. We lost Jamie McGonigal, June Tuttle and Richard Zeidner, in our sopho- more year, Altogether we had sixteen members and Mr. Plesha was our class advisor. Our class officers were Leonore Buhr, Johanne Johnson, Alfred Bennett, and Caroll Pangman. There were eight students in Chorus, nine in band, six on J,V. Basketball, two in J.V. cheerleading and one on the baseball team. Our class seemed to be decreasing every year. By the time we were Juniors we had fourteen members. We lost Harold Fetterly, Walter Cornell, and Robert Bloomer and gained Jamie McGonigal, Mr. Bates was our advisor. Class offi- cers were Harold Butler, Dick Bobnick, Alfred Bennett and Dean Thorn. There were four students on the yearbook staff, seven in chorus, eight in band, one on Varsity Cheerleading, three on J.V. basketball, two on Varsity basketball, and one on the baseball team. We initiated the Freshmen and had a wonder- ful time. This year our last at M.l-I.S. has been a busy one. Mr. Bates and Mr. Wales are our class advisors. Our officers are Richard Young, Johanne Johnson, Jamie McGonigal and Dean Thorn. We have four yearbook staff members, five in chorus, eight in band, one varsity cheerleader and five on Varsity Basketball. Our four years at M.H.S. have been made more enjoyable by the help of our faculty, parents, and fellow students. As graduating Seniors, we wish success and happiness to everyone here at M.H.S. O U l A1 Bennett leaves his ability to handle the driver training car to Mr. Remy. Dick Bodnick Leaves, but he'll be back! Lee Buhr leaves her smart remarks to Loretta Menhart. Harold Butler leaves Thank Heavens. Don Cortese leaves for the moon. Joe Gomiller leaves his parking spots to Bill Rasmussen. Jo Johnson leaves, though she wasn't here much. Bob Kovatchitch leaves his left-handed pup tent to Mr. West. The black skid marks on the road are left by Jamie McGonigal, Larry Neff leaves his way with the girls to Merle Olmsted. Herb Olmsted doesn't leave anything but takes June along with him. Caroll Pangman leaves, already taken! Dean Thorn leaves his square flattops to Harold Hanson. Dick Young leaves his car to Ray Couse. The Senior Class leaves the Faculty wishing they had never seen us in the first place. Class Prophecy Time: June 1968 Place: Home Sweet Home The other day I was planning a vacation from my work modeling fur coats for horses at Yonkers Raceway, I decided for a change from trips in Sputnik, to Mars etc. Iwould return to the scene of my childhood, that rollicking space-port of Milford, Earth. Iwent to the nearest jet-port, Cortese's Fly- a-way to inquire about flights. As Iwalked in the door a dark-haired man with a mustache, whom I recognized as my friend, Don, ushered me into the room. He told me he was planning to take a trip back himself for our class reunion, which Ihad forgotten about, and was leaving tomorrow. Isaid I would be at the space-port at 10 a.m. Earth time. The next morning as I stepped our of my jet-car, a porter rushed over to take my bags. Who should it be but Dean Thorn. He had taken the course at Joe Gomillers' Salon for Fat Men and now when your bags walk away by themselves it's not venetian light rays it's Skinny Thom. As the jet took off with Don at the controls assisted by his co-pilot Jamie McGonigal, who should come rolling down the aisle but Iohanne Johnson, the skinniest girl in our senior class, Qdid Isay skinnyrj to the music of the new outer-space discovery Jetty Bobnick and His Little Green Men, Spacey Neff, Rocky Kovatchitch, and Pupnik Olmsted. She offered me a green pill and when I asked her what it was she said it was the cure for space-sick- ness developed by Doctors H. Butler, I. McGonigal, and D. Young in their spare time. I took it and turned green all over. After a smooth trip and a safe landing we decided to visit the new high school At the door of the school we were met by Principal Al Bennett who is known as the spacest principal they have ever had. We visited the classes of Dr. D. Young on space science and listened to a lecture by Dr. H. Butler who re- placed a Mr. West, and jokes, whom the children describe as real gone. QTHANK l-IEAVENI As we left the school after a very spacey day Isaw Caroll PufferQPangmanj picking up her eight space monsters in her jet car. Prof. Bennett told us our reunion would be held in September so we would have plenty of time to see the space sights. Gee, I'm looking forward to seeing what happened to all our class.
