C lass Prophecy In the year 1976 I dectded to settle my curtosrty and frnd out just what had happened to all my classmates from M H S When I arrrved rn Mrlford found Jack K busy rnventmg a car wrth a Jet engme so that he could outrun all the cops 111 Cooperstown He sa1d Betty S and Shtrley G had marrted then steadres and each was busy trymg to ra1se more chlldren than the other I guess Betty was wlnnmg for she had twelve the last trme she counted In the early evenmg I V1SlI8d the Stork Club and was surprrsed to md Dotty F as my wartress She sard that they had heard how good she was at the Shortstop and wanted her nght away When the entertarnment started the announ cer sard the guest star for the evemng would be Jack B playrng the trombone He told me that he had toured all of Europe and was quite successful After seerng the show I hatled a cab and was pleased to see Charles Y at the wheel I notrced the cab was the same aqua blue Karser he used to drrve to school I guess he lrkes that car I went to a ltttle bar down rn the bowery for a mght cap Who should be standrng by the ptauo stngmg the blues but Glenda P She sard her maruage drdrr t work out and she d gotten a dlvorce She hoped someday to become a star Theron H was the bartender there He satd he worked too hard at Cooper Inn and he was gettmg back his strength He recommended the Ladres Wrestlmg match commg soon He told me Prtscrlla W was the star attractron and would no doubt wrn the bout I was glad for her because I knew how much she lrked wrest l1ng Her husband Hugh F Presrdent of the Hudson Motor Co always has a rrng srde seat at her bouts I talked to Vema C the next day who rs happrly wed and has three chlld ren She sald Davtd T was teachmg dancmg lessons at the school on Thurs day mghts He specraltzes rn the fan and bubble dance Also Vmnre F has become the new truant offrcer because he knows all the good frshmg spots H learned them all III hrs school days and can usually catch the skrppers When I went 1nto a restaurant for lunch I sat rn a booth next to Peggy R who IS now runnmg a home for old malds She has had srx husbands herself Smce rt rs the opera season we dectded to take rn one It happened to be THE MARRIAGE OF FIGARO and who rs srngrng the lead of F1garo'P None other than John fughj S Across the street IS Jerry H sellmg peanuts He told me that Jrm R IS strll plg farmmg LD good old Westvrlle Drann P IS no longer babysittmg for pay as she has qutte enough of her own to keep her busy rabbrts that rs As for me I m back to my chosen professron just call me Bubbles the Burlesque Queen ' ' ' .I .U .. ,, ,, . f. . .. . e Class Hzstory In September 1952 we started our four year journey rn hrgh school As freshmen we started with 29 students Mr Clme was our class advrsor W escaped rnxtration somehow but were actually sorry Three of our freshmen grrls were onJ V Cheerleadtng and two on Varstty There were frve students tn band and ten rn chorus Four of our boys were on the I V basketball squad We consrdered our Rathskeller fGerman Tavernj to be the most successful socral event of the year We lost Margot McGon1gal Byron Baker Loretta Prer Don Konchar Deryl Ztnrel and Paul Lockwood ur our Sophomore year but we gamed Theron Hotal mg Altogether we had 20 members thrs year We had seven students tn chorus and frve tn band We had three grrls on Varsrty Cheerleadmg and two grrls on the J V squad Two of our boys were on the Varsrty basketball team and one on the J V We sold sweat shrrts thrs year to rarse money for our treasury Junrors we had just 19 members left We lost Lrna Bloomer Bud Cooper and Marylee Strong and Margre Mahnken who stepped up to be Senrors In the lat ter part of thrs year we were greatly saddened by the death of our beloved class presrdent Joe Cortese We sold statronary thrs year PHI on two movres and had a dance We had frve members tn chorus three rn band four grrls on Varsrty cheerleadrng and three boys on Varsrty basketball Th1s year our last year at M H S, has been a busy one We had a srege of sellmg Chrrstmas cards magazines taffy statronary and everythmg else that could be sold to earn money enough to go to Washrngton Mr Kelsen our class advrsor has been a great help to us thrs year The cheerleaders thrs year from our class were Betsy Hanson Dotty Forster and Glenda Prer Our four years at M H S have been enjoyable and wrthout the help of our faculty parents and fellow students we would never have enjoyed rt so much We want to thank every one who has helped us . .
