On my trlp around the U S , ten year HILBT graduation, I was surprlsed to find that net up with all my school mates I was sitting in Yankee Stadium when a familiar voice called nPeanuts, popcorn, and there stood Don Patton He had been pitching for the Yanks, but while he was taking ballet lessons to keep fit he became interested in dancing, so now he's on Broadway While I was in Albany, I ran into my old friend Eleanor Rasmussen it didn't hurt her but it dented the fender of my 19h6 Caddy Eleanor is training to be the prlvate secretary for the next pres ident of the U S Big Sam Woodrow took my order when I stopped for my daily refreshment at a soda fountainn A Dr told him to stay away from sweetsu for a while because of stomach trouble so he took a job where he'd feel at home He told me Andy Sugarick, world's champion Shuffle Board player stops by every night to practice While watching TV last night I saw Liz Adee sitting at ringside with paintlng equipment The papers say she's tryin to get Bill Melby to pose for her While strolling by the Mississippi, I heard a swish and then a fish hit me on the head I looked behind me and found a bearded man staring I started to run, but reallzed it was Burt Olmstead He apologized for frightening me, and informed me that he fished for a living As I walked down a side street in Chicago, a T square came fly ing through the air and landed at my feet I found the owner to be Margie Mahnken She was on the verge of quitting because she was havlng trouble drawing the blue prints for nBurp no more baby food cans While at the stock car races, I noticed nCrazy Willien written across the side of one of the cars fyou know who that means, I watched closely as he took the cor ners sharply and finished the race five minutes before the other drivers, though he had only one wheel left In Milford, I saw Mary Lee Strong wheeling a baby carriage toward school, with two small children running behind her Every day she goes to meet her other two after school Her husband choose the Navy as a career The star athlete of our class, John Denny, is teaching girls Phys Ed now at old M H S They say the girls love him After years of fast running, Bev Utter finally caught him She settled down in a little house in Milford Center and is busy taklng care of her wee ones As a result of the many hours of practice during study hall, Pete Todd landed a job singing commercials on the famous TV Ranch Club Osterhout, and Wanda Kiser haunting the army base They carry huge magnets, so if any men get close they latch the magnets onto the buttons of their uniforms and drag them off The boys are getting wise and sew cardboard buttons an instead of metal ones Wh11e I was walk 1ng down a street I heard that old song, 'This Old House I looked around and discovered that the noise was coming from a bright red hearse that turned in at 'Allard's Funeral Home Frankie ju ped out of the hearse, slung the corpse over his shoulder and sang, nTweedle Deedle Deedle Boop as he carried it in through a side door I was happy to find that Russ Wllsey had become one of the most successful men in America He owns 120 pawn shops scat tered all over the U S Charlie Bloomer his right hand man, takes care of all the disagree able customers Russ Hanson still drives the same Chevie that he did in 195M- He has been looking for a bookkeeping job for the past ten years I felt sorry for him one day so I offered him a job in one of my Jersey City offices and he accepted eagerly As for me, I am still the same smart, intelligent, and ambitious girl I was in school.
