Class Prophecy Inf the year of 1951 I Graduated from M1lfay I-hgh School and later went to South Amenea as a government agent On my vacatxon I deczded to come back to Mxlfay ln hopes of fxndmg some of my old classmates When I got to New York and got aboard a plane for Tulsa who should I see commg down the a1sle '7 None other than Wanda Morton who had become an azrhne stewardess When I got to Mllfay I was told that all of them had gone Joan Smlth was a dress de sxgner and was l1v1ng ln Brooklyn New York Dorothy Smlth was a secretary for the W1l I met Wllma Loyd who was hvmg at Drumnght She had made a successful housewmfe I was later told that Dale Scott was now a prosperous doctor Janet Harr1son was runmng a beauty shop ln S vannah Tennessee I found that Martha Anderson had fulfilled her ambltlon and was a flne secretary ln the Ind1an Department at Washlngton D C Preston Hlxson had turned out to be the governor of Cahforma I met all of my old teachers who now could hardly walk wlthout the use of canes Most of them were now Grandma s and Grandpa s I am now returmng to South Amerlca wlth a feehng of great satlsfactlon for the Semor Class of 95' cox Oil Company. Fred Glander was doing well in the oil business. 1

Class H zstory In the fall of 1947 eleven young ladres and sn: young gentlemen entered h1gh school for the ftrst t1me Although everyone called us green Freshmen and gave us a whopper of an 1n1t1at1on we were so proud to be 1n h1gh school we took xt all 1n good spzrxts Those who started down the four years of memory lane together were Fred Glander, Martha Anderson Dale Scott, Dorothy Smlth .Ioan Sm1th Arthur Bowman Patty Holland Bobble Barker Fern Oakes, Madelme Barker Bonnle Wxlhams Wllma Loyd Janet Harrxson, Buleah Stmer Freddy Franklm, .Tack Anthony and Donald Duckworth We struggled slowly but surely through our Freshman year wlth the help of our sponsor Mrs Carrze Hutcheson We were sorry to lose Freddy Franklm who moved to Stroud at the end of the first semester Our Sophomore year was very active as well as very successful We hated to lose Buleah Stmer who didn t start back that year .Tack Anthony and Donald Duckworth moved away and thus added to our loss Our only gam was Wanda Morton from Oh1o We chose for our sponsor Mr Lou1e DeMoss who gave h1s full support to the class Our Jumor year was a very pleasant one but we lost three more students Fern Oakes fazled to start Bonme W1ll1ams moved to Calxforma and Patty Holland moved to Kansas Mrs Cal Jones was our .Tunxor sponsor who gave her full support and courage to make our annual Iumor Semor Banquet asuccessbesxdes spurrxng us on ln our .Tumor Semor Play At last we became Semors in 1950 51 We lost Arthur Bowman to the Good old Army which made our class number elght but Preston Hxxson was wxth us for a semester whlch made nme mtellxgent Semors Wllma Loyd changed her name to Mrs O B Pense and fa1led to fxmsh wlth us As thzs school term ends our enjoyable years at good old Mxlfay High, our hopes are hzgh and our goal IS ln srght CLASS MOTTO HE WHO TRIES SHALL SUCCEED' CLASS COLORS BLUE AND WHITE CLASS FLOWER RED ROSE BACCALAUREATE MAY 2.0 1951 COMMENCEMENT MAY Z4 1951 o . . . , . . . u .... . . . . . ..
