MIDDLE ROW: Walter Wakula, Don Hunter, Vernon Barrett, Hugh Stephens, Wayne Eliuk, Randy Kush- nier, Dave Baldwin. BACK ROW: Victor Kuzyk, Sharon Smith, Marilyn Rafferty, Arlene Catiledge, Barbara Rudyk, Chris Westdal, Carol Kor- nek. The club ' s executive for the 1962-63 year was: President - Hugh Stephens Vice-President - Chris Westdal Secretary - Sharon Smith The Oratorical Club was originally formed to help the interested students to speak. The club is very proud of Chris Westdal who placed second in the Manitoba School Trustees Oratorical Contest. This was the second year the school radio was in operation. A new item that we added to the M. M. C. R. broadcasts was the dedications. This turned out to be quite successful. The club provided MC ' s for the Variety Concert. The announcers for the basket¬ ball games were members of the Oratorical Club. The club had a very successful year, including debates, and visits by well-known speakers. Thanks go to Mrs. Lee and Miss Ryan, our teacher sponsors, for the help and guidance they gave the Club throughout the year. CANDIDS 95

CENTER ROW: Jim McKellar, Gerry Adel, Larry Borysyk, Frank Wagner, Ted Chmielowiec, Don Wardrop, -Richard Deeley, Walter Wakula, Ronald Drobat, Doug Geisel. BACK ROW: Lynn Fe dorwick, Sharon Trinder, Paula Evans, Barbara Gage, Karen Prevalnig, Brenda Bean, Leslie Kolisnyk, Karen Jaresh, Betty Harrison, Lynn DeGagne, Shirley Glowa, Judy Gauer, Carol Rutherford. This year of 1962-63, the M. M. C. Dance Club was composed of 150 members. Th executive consisted of Ted Chmielowiec - President, Sharon Trinder - Vice-President, Lynn Fedorwick - Secretary-Treasurer. New dance steps learned were the calypso, limbo, bossa-nova, under the direction of Miss Strimbiski. The Dance Club also had a West Indies Party and a dress-up party. The Dance Club also took part in the Variety Concert. The theme was Dancing Through the Ages. All who participated in the concert enjoyed themselves. CANDIDS I « Is If w £wr T FI

The Camera Club was a most prominent, important, and vital organization in both the curricular and extracurricular activities of Miles Mac this year. It has earned a reputation because of its members being present almost everywhere. Th members of the club were: predominant at every event dealing with the school - basketball and volleyball games, dances, speeches, contests, performances, and even in the streets of Winnipeg.
