GIRLS’ FRESHMEN BASKETBALL Les Johnson, Kerry McCombs, Karen Prevalnig, Janice Kohnen, Judy Gunning, Cathy Hinatsu. STANDING: Linda Aseltine, Carol Henry, Gail Stevens, Linda Cooper, Linda Hamilton, Nancy Pourbanec, Linda Walker, Manager. The freshmen girls ' Miles MacDonell Basketball team played all their games on Thursday, at 4:30. On January 10, Miles Mac beat Windsor Park 26-9. On January 17, Miles Mac beat Transcona 22-18. On Feb. 7, Miles Mac beat Windsor Park 36-11. On Feb. 21 the girls beat River East 42-12. The final game in the normal league play was played against Transcona. Our girls won it 26-22. Then came several Exhibition Games. Miles Mac won them all. The girls entered the Suburban finals and there they walloped Transcona 34-12 and 38-12. The girls had a perfect season. Congratulations go to the team members and to their manager Linda Walker.
