TOUCHDOWN QUIZ TEAM SEATED: Mike Shewal, Donna-Mae Kernatz, Bob Schwenk, STANDING: Tom Lobay, Mr. R. H. Stevens, John Petryshn. This able team, under the direction of Mr. R. H. Stevens, represent¬ ed Miles Mac in Channel 7 ' s Touchdown Quiz. They defeated Nelson Mac in the first game but, unfortunately, lost out to Selkirk in the next. REACH FOR THE TOP TEAM Grant Lemon, Maureen Crump, Dana Stewart, Ed Kroeger, Mr. R. J. Wilson. These four Capable students represented our school on Channel 3 ' s Reach for the Top. They appeared four times defeating Westwood, St. Johns, but, unfortunately lost to Elmwood High in the Division playoffs. Our school needn ' t feel ashamed of this defeat, as the Elmwood team went on to win the Programme Series. In a sense, our students came second in the Whole Show.

2IENCE CLUB The club ' s ecutive for ie 1962-63 ear was: Pre- Ldent-Brian hompson, Jim tadnick-Vice- ’resident, Jean ' irciew-Secre- ary- Treasurer. Meetings ere held twice month and ilms and peeches were the highlights. Among the activities of the SEATED: Diane Shaver, Dawn Lucas, Brian Thompson, Henry Reimer, Jim Smerek, Jean Birciew, Doug Geisel. MIDDLE ROW: Jim Slivinski, Jim Stadnick, Bill Price, Les Persnicke, Ed Kroeger, Brian Rudolph, Allan Stone. BACK ROW: Steve Zabarylo, Walter Wakula, Bob Tibbs, John Kaye, Robert Turzyn, Jon Glowa, Lawrence Borysyk. club were: put on a display for the Variety Concert, and entered projects in two Science Fairs. Ed Kroeger and Jim Stadnick won first prize for Rocketry at the East Kildonan Science Fair. John Kaye re- cevied first prize for his AMFM receiver. Steve Zabarylo and Brian Thompson won second prize for their digital computer in the East Kildonan Science Fair. The same digital computer also won first prize in the Department of Mathematics at the Manitoba Science Fair. Bill Price won first prize for his insect collection at the East Kildonan Science Fair and Third Prize in Biology at the Manitoba Fair. The first prize in the Field Project was awarded to Jim Stadnick and Ed Kroeger for their Rocketry Work. Thanks to Mr. Heubner and Mr. Buller, teacher Sponsors, for their assistance in making the Science Club a success.

PIONEER CLUB SEATED: Suzanne Boomer, Shirley Bihun, Pat Luxton, Marilyn Gordon, Julie Bergner, Carol Peterson, Shirley Collicutt, Linda Hoover. STANDING: Mr. Buller, teacher sponsor; Patsy Gutknecht, Linda Pow¬ ell, Marjorie Van Dyken, Gordon Oates, Ed Kroeger, Nancy Gutknecht, Pat Davidson, Ruth Tiede, Beverley Boitson, Mr. Brown, teacher sponsor. Miles Mac ISCF (Inter-School-Christian-Fellowship Club) within the school for the purpose of Christian fellowship among the students is a club with the motto ' To know Christ and make him known ' . The year ' s programme has consisted of films, discussions, Bible studies, speakers, and special guests. As ISCF is a city-wide group. Miles Mac members participated in the yearly weekend conference at Steinbach and Spring Camp at Star Lake. Members also joined clubs across Canada in working one day of their Easter Holidays - the proceeds going to support Samuel Escabar, a missionary to South America sponsored by Canadian ISCF clubs. The club ' s Executive was: President - Ed Kreeger, Vice-President - Julie Bergner, Secretary-Treasurer - Marilyn Gordon, Social - Tamira Friesen. ELECTION,CONSTITUTION AWARDS COMMITTEE This committee, consisting of Mike Dunbar (Chairman), Hugh Stephens, Mary- Ellen Grieve, Alvin Jasper, and Margaret Squibb was in charge of the Elections, the drawing up of the constitution, and the distribution of the Awards. The committee‘wishes to thank Mr. T. C. Meadows for this help with the work. 101
