a sprinkling of friendly PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE It is unfortunate that everyone cannot be a high school president because as such one learns things one could never learn anywhere else or in any other way so rapidly. Not gigantic things! Not secrets to suc¬ cess or to infinite happiness - but little things; important little things. Many of these little things can also be learned by simply being active and co-operative during your high school life. Being active not only socially, but also academically, sports-wise, and club wise. Being co-operative not only with your classmates, but with your teachers, your principal, your clubs, and your committees. In a high school the size of Miles Mac co-operation and competition are the essences of success. I am very grateful to those who let me be president this year and to those who helped me be president. Everyone made 1962- 63 a good year but in particular Neil Taylor, Linda Walker, Bar¬ bara McGregor, the student council, the committee chairmen and the club presidents deserve well-earned credit. Mr. Mead¬ ows, the student council ' s teacher advisor and all teachers who devoted their time to extracurricular student activities also are to be praised. Naturally, many of you will never return to Miles Mac. I wish you, in particular, the finest future with only the minimum of tradgedy and the very maximum of happiness. Someday, you will look back into this yearbook and you will remember Miles Mac and then you will know your years here are among the most memorable in your life. Wayne Eliuk School President 1962-63
