As we look toward the school, we see Shirley Kokemuller. She is very busy slaving over the stove cooking a meal for her family of seven boys. Going into the Miles School, who should we see but the former Beverly Petersen as the home economics teacher and also wife ofthe school super- lntendent. .We then caught sight of the Miles School Gym where Miles was leading 50-l in a basketball game wlth Preston. We then caught sight of a man with a big smile, patting each player on the back and to our surprise we found it was Miles Hi coach, Gllbert Bott. As we leave Mlles, we see a prosperous looking farm. lt is early evening and there in the rear we see Dale lrown mowing the lawn. The former Joyce Hammond is having quite a time keeping the two children from bothering thelr daddy. Joyce and Dale have been happily married now for five years. Next we tune into Green Island, channel number 214785. For those who didn't get it, I will repeat lt, channel 675430. First we sight a large stone house. As we look more carefully at the house, we see a name engraved on the do-or, Dr. Richard Flscher . Were we surprised when we looked through the window, and there on his lap, lmaglne, a magazine. There we also saw a little white house with blue shutters, nestled at the foot of the bluff. Inside the house, we see Mr. and Mrs. Russell Guenther fthe former Gaynell Roel and their two children seated at the breakfast table. They are discussing sending their children to Miles. You see all the little schools around there are closed. Next we see a big baseball game in action. We had been informed that the G.I. Giants were battling the New York Yankees for the world series. Coming up to bat, we recognize Roger Tarr. We hear voices shouting, 'Come on Daddy . So we look lnto the crowd and ln the flrst row we see three little boys with their mother, the former Bethel Colburn. We also see Harlan Daniels. It seems that Harlan has reached his peak at major baseball pltchlng. The Yankees bought him from the Indians last year for a new high, S1,000,000. Leon DePue has retired on the sum he got inventing the shatter-proof baseball catchers mlt to catch I-larlan's fast ball. We next see the International Trap Shoot. Here ve see Glenn Gravert with his S400 Browning Special. Glenn ls competing with some of the best shots ln the world. Oh, its snap to get into this shoot. All you have to do is hit a thousand out of a thousand. Glenn ls now going to shoot three clay birds in a row while standing on his head. Glenn still owns their farm but he has changed lt into a hunting club. Men from all over the world come there to go hunting at the lake. Next we see the Jackson Kennels coming into focus. As we look inside we see Arnle Jackson. Arnie has raised some of the best' toy terriers in the world. Arnie has raised terriers for Xavier Cugat. 18

Class Prophecy ln the year 1962, we took off for our new found planet, XZY, in our sen sational new creation the X143UCY rocket. Arrivlng we tuned in our super, dooper, looper sonic atomic radar screen turning to channel 0000, double 0, zero nothing. Getting good old Miles ln focus. We see a huge house and for curiosity's sake we look closer and see that lt ls an orphanage. Looklng inslde we come to the superintendents door and whose name do you think is lngraved on this door? None other than Joann Muhl. Joann has quite a time between this and taking care of her own three glrls. As we pass the streets of Miles we see a bright blue uniform standing on the corner of North and Main Street. Don't get us wrong, the suit wasn't so dlrty that lt could stand up by itself, no it was Carol Nielsen. She has qulte a time directing traffic now that Miles has the new school efdltlon. Next we see two big factories. Gerald Smithson has worked up quite a business making cat-tle bunks. He has his o-wn factory down on Main Street ln Miles. He has 150 club calves as a past time. Besides Gerald's factory there is another one turning out 2,000 Smith Shops a day. That's one machine that has 85 different machines in one. We went to the presldent's office to see if we could go through the factory. Who do you suppose the president was? None other than Lester Moeller him- s elf. Yep, he's making over S100,000 a year now. While gazing at the names of the stores we see one that sounds quite interesting. It was called the 'RUSS SODA SHOP . ln looking in the window we saw a small figure moving about behind the counter. Being curious we moved up a little closer. lt was the former Jean McVey. Who would ever have thought she would own and help run a soda shop. As we turned to the airport, a plane has just landed and to our surprise we see a charming young miss jumping our, laughing. It couldn't be but lt ls Ienean Ronnfeldt. She is dressed in a suit of blue and was ' none other than an air stewardess. Down by the railroad we see Shirley Yates. Shirley never quite forgot the song I've Been Workln' On The Railroad' for she ls now head waitress on the Milwaukee Passenger Train and Wayne Daniels ls the cook. Then we see the new Miles Hospital. As the supersonic lens peered through the reception room of the new Miles ,Hospital we see the nurses' names. On the very top of the list, we noticed the familiar name of Myrna Wllke. After ten years ln the nursing profession, Myrna had advanced to the position of head nurse. We're sure Myrna gained this skill through the biology and chemistry classes back in high school. As we leave the hospital, our lens focus on a familiar face. Sure enough it ls Phyllis Mangler and tagglng along behind are six charming little girls, exact images of their mother. By listening to their conversation, we learned that Phyllis had married one of her classmates and was not spending most of her time teach- ing the llttle ones the correct way to handle a basketball. 17

L From Green Island, we tune our channel to the town of Twin Springs. There we see Darrel Drury- He has started a bachelors club ln Twin Springs. He has 129 members. He wanted 130 members but Joyce Hammond and Dale Brown were married, so this upset the membership. Darrel has gone with about every girl in Jackson County. He says lt eosts too much to keep a wlfe with these high prices. Teeds Grove now comes into focus. Martin Hansen and Mary Hathaway are running a sweet little hatchery in Teeds Grove. They call it Martin and Mary's Little Baby Chicks. Martin has invented seven new breeds since 1953. Oh, yes, they have three sets of twins that are their own. We happened to be driving by a chicken hatchery in Andover when we saw a man running madly all over the street. We knew right away that it was Harlan Eggers. We stopped to ask him what was the matter. He told us that he was the proud owner of 732,021 new baby chicks. We also see that Lavonne Johnson now has her own beauty salon in Andover. She is one of the best beauty operators around that country. She. also has written a book on hair styling. We found Harlan Marx on a horse farm in Andover. He's got a new breell of horses, you know. Two seated ones for Nancy Taplin and him to ride. Allan Naeve now owns 1,000 acres south of Andover where he is working on a better hy-brld seed corn than he turned out last year. The one last year produced only ten bushel to the hill with a stock twenty foot tall. The new one is to be thirty-five feet tall and produce twenty bushel to the hill. As we turn our radar screen to Hollywood, we see Darleen Meggers who is now uhe trainer and mistress of Lassle's great-grand-daughter, Lou- Lou. As we look in on the White House we see Donna Elckert, the private secretary of the president. She is sitting on his lap taking a letter to send to his wife. Looking down at Paris we see Jlmrny Eggers at the National Art Building. Jimmy has taken up art and likes the styles and gals there. Beverly Bartlett has done very well at St. L1.rke's Hospital at Cedar Rapids. She is head nurse now, but she still has trouble with men patients from around her home town that lnsist she care for them. Looking in on the former Dianne Ockelmann where should she be but ln Cheyenne, Wyoming. She helps ber husband run their horse ranch. Right now she ls breaking one of the wildest horses ln Wyoming. She ls one of the best horse breakers in Wyoming. In her spare time, she is raising, no not colts, but her two sons. 19
