John Winquist: These foldouts from farm journal really make my day. MMS in Motion The atmosphere in the halls of MHS has various in- tensities depending on the time of day or night. Stu- dents rush from class to class and race to be first in the lunch line. At other times there is a quiet, almost haunt- ing stillness throughout the building. To all casual ob- servers, MHS may seem like any institution of learning. Ginger Grabow: Maybe I should have stayed out. Michelle DeJong and Doug Falk: Do you ever get the feeling we're being followed? The real function of the school lies hidden in de- bate boxes, play props, musical instruments, foot- ball jerseys, and trophies. Though classes are impor- tant for learning new skills and ideas, the span of our high school years is a time for adaptation to society and the world around us. Our relationship with peo- ple around us at school is very important.

MMS in Motion We encounter many varied personalities through working with others. A class becomes a group while planning the prom or making homecoming floats. Outstanding traits are recognized and challenged. Our varied talents can be de- veloped through sports, speech, artistic, or musical ac- tivities. Lane Gruenwald and Greg Miller, The Dewey Decimal System really amazes me. Terry Davis, Darla Knaus, and John Gill pre- tending they don't see our camera man. Ruth Mueller, How can you write a 500 word theme on the origination of the word 'the'? Steve Springer and Bert Porter, A little more to the left, please. Shirley Strube. You didn't! High school is only one rung on the ladder of life, but it is a big step from here out into the world. Therefore, we at MHS want to live our lives to the fullest to get all we can from these four short years. 5 Jim Dornbusch, Dear Abby. ..
