]h Memoriam Milbank High School suffered the loss of one of its best-loved educators and friends this year. Warren L. Colberg passed away on November 25, while preparing for the Thanksgiving concert. Those of us who were close to Warren Colberg knew him as a warm, sincere man. He was a friend to everyone, and he was always willing to listen to a student's problems or questions. Warren Colberg was a happy man. His laugh was one-of-a-kind. Whenever he laughed, it echoed throughout the halls and everyone knew who it was. Warren Colberg was an active, energetic man. Students could see him riding his bicycle to school on brisk fall mornings or see him jogging down the street. Warren Colberg was a man involved in life. He loved life and the world around him. He was a church choir director, and was very active in his church. He gave of his own time and effort so that he could help others. But, most of all, we remember Warren Colberg as a man who loved his profession. His dedication to music was unbound- ed. He spent many nights at school rehearsing with his students. He wanted his music perfect. He was respected in his pro- fession by all who knew him. His knowledge of music seemed endless, but his love of music was endless. Warren Colberg has departed from this life, but he is not to be forgotten by the many hundreds of students who have passed through the halls of MHS. To his memory we, the students of MHS, wish to dedicate this annual. May this serve as a lasting tribute to a beloved friend. 2
