The student council, under the successive leadership of Kevin Randall and Roger Bracht, was one of the most enterprising student govern- ments to be a part of MHS. Honor cards, available to any student with the qualifying grades, were given to fresh- man, sophomores, juniors, and the all-important seniors. A bulletin board in the honor study hall gave the students a chance to air their gripes, opinions, and works of poetry. Lunch hours were extended to a full hour, instead of the Spartan half-hour we had been allowed for lunch. Countless other issues were raised and discarded in the hallowed halls of Student Council.
