Class of 73 Begins Its Four-Year Standat MHS This year the freshmen entered the halls of MHS with little confidence, but they will begin their sophomore year with a great deal more confidence and a little more brain power. In- stead of the usual shy, quiet, insecure f,frosh, the class of 73 surprised the upper-classmen by getting into the swing of things almost im- mediately. The freshmen participated in foot- ball, cross-country, basketball, cheerleading, all-school plays, declam, debate, music con- tests.... Well, the list could go on for quite some time. The freshmen found their year exciting and rewarding as well as fun. First came home- coming when the freshman float received honor- able mention. Then came the Sadie Hawkins dance where the freshmen girls got right into the spirit of the game. Semester exams came and went with only a few battle wounds, leaving the freshmen quite prepared for future tests. The freshmen completed one of the greatest of the four high school years in 1970 with three equally great years ahead.
