Milbank High School has a reputation of being outstanding in the field of football. For the past four years the Bulldogs had not been beaten. The 1962 football team worked hard to make this reputation grow stronger and to make their town proud of them. Their hard work was rewarded as they carried this record on to five years of consecutive victories. The 1962 edition of the MHS football Bulldogs won many outstanding honors for their efforts on the gridiron. They won the fifth successive Northeast Conference championship and by adding their wins to past victories they made the record 42 successive wins in football for a new South Dakota record. They received a No. 1 rating in the Class A division of high schools for South Dakota, as selected by staff members of the Sioux Falls Argus Leader. The Bulldogs placed in numerous national polls and received the honor of being named Team of the Year in South Dakota by the sports writers of this state. Their coach, Rollie Greeno, one of the prominent family of Greeno Brothers, is a former holder of Coach of the Year Title. With all these honors, the Milbank High School football team for 1962 was surely a winning team and the players champions in every way possible. So to you, the 1962 MHS football team and your coach, because of your outstanding record in football which has brought honor and fame to Milbank High School, we proudly dedicate this annual. 2

FOREWORD Throughout the years, Milbank has developed into a football town with much enthusiasm shown by everyone. Here at Milbank High School football has been an outstanding sport with our teams in the last few years winning many honors. With these thoughts in mind, we have carried out a football theme in the follow- ing pages of this book. We sincerely hope that it will serve as a memory of our football achievements and the 1962-1963 school year at Milbank High School. 3
