FHA - FFA F. H. A. The FHA, the largest organization in the school., has 105 mem- bers. Some of the activities that made this year successful were the Sweetheart Ball, Basket Social. Round Robin with Webster as our guest, and the Style Show. The FHA was host April 5 to the Regional Meeting at which fifteen area schools were represented. Mr. White says, It's Bar-B-Qued with that hickory taste. F. F. A. The Milbank FFA has 67 members, all of whom are farm boys learning how to farm through our supervised farming program. These boys will be able to take a farm and do a good job of managing it. The FFA has a variety of projects that it does during the year. One of the most important is the Parents and Sons' Barbeque. Other projects are the Sweetheart Ball, Family Picnic, and a magazine sales campaign. The officers of the FFA are David Thompson, President; Dale Leddy, Secretary; Richard Will, Treasurer; Marlow Oltman, Bid high, it could be chicken, says Jim Farrell. Reporter; and Ronald Boe, Sentinel. SWEETHEART BALL Sweetheart Ball Coronation: Jeannie Campbell, Ron Boe, David Thompson, Beverly Weekley, Betty Williams. On the evening of February 13, the annual Sweetheart Ball, sponsored by the FFA-FHA, was presented. The members of the FFA and FHA decorated the gym gaily in red and white colors, a silver cupid, and different sized hearts to carry out the tradition of Valentine's Day. The outstanding event of the evening was the crowning of the Sweetheart, Beverly Weekley, and the Beau, David Thompson. Other candi dates for Sweetheart were—Marlys Richter and Jerelynn Driessen, and for Beau—Dale Leddy and Richard Will. The crown bearers were Jeannie Campbell and Steven Johnson. The processional was played by Sally Davenport. Betty Jo White sang De- sert Song as a serenade to the royal couple. The Sweetheart was crowned by Betty Williams, Sweetheart of 1959, and the Beau by Ron Boe, Sentinel of the FFA.
