Let's Go Tobaggoning! The Bulldogs won their third straight Northeast conference cross country title. Their point to- tal was 12 compared to Sisseton's second place 34. Dave Hermans took first place, Ken Wellnitz second, and Jack Barnes fourth. The Bulldogs, putting out terrific effort, finished second in the state meet behind Rapid City. Top three men for Milbank were Hermans in 8th, Barnes in 9th, and Wellnitz in 14th. The Bulldogs also copped second in the S. Dak. AAU meet behind Volga. The Bulldogs' undefeated season stretched their winning streak to 18 in a row. The power of this years team is shown by the fact that 11 members were named to the All-State Football Squad. Roland Johnson and Roger O- Shaughnessy were selected to the first team, Mike Raffety to the second team, and Jack Price to the third team. The Bulldog cagers clinched first place in the last conference game of the season, as they whipped their arch-rival, isseton. The top scorers, Johnson and Bruce, missed much of the season. Johnson broke his foot in a toboggan accident at midseason, and Bruce missed the last five games because of illness.
