ERNEST Ernest — There’s nothing startling or even un- usual about the name, except to one Henry Gil- crest. You see, just the name Ernest sent Henry into shock. How would you like to love your girl, your job, your room, and your last $17.83? Well, Henry did and he gained them back by and with the help of his pals, Sleepy and Bumpus. All this and more was combined into one riotous p’ay, “Deadly Ernest”, presented March 18 under the direction of Mr. Elmer Moe. Those in the cast were: Gene Murphy, LueiTe Flack, Pat Tillemans, Margaret Nef. Joan Gill, .rune Keller, Carol Dorale, Janice McCulloch, Charles Gommer, Duane Kockx, Donald Smith, Darlene Lage, Merl Foss, Stanley Bohn. Prompter—Elaine Wendt. Student Manager—Audrey Redman. 29

PROM The Junior-Senior Prom was one of the main events of the school year. After much preparation it was held on April 30 and proved to be a success. Leo Fortin’s orchestra added sparkle to the already colorful theme, “Candyland.” Following the dance the local Kiwanis Club sponsored a luncheoen which was followed by a mid- night movie. Bill Jackson, a college professor, leads his uncle to believe he is a Doctor of Philosophy and then the trouble begins. Eventually things turn out all right and Bill receives $50,000 from his uncle for saving his life. Members of the cast were Sam Kasuske. Ann Jurgens, A.Ten Liebe, Ruth Gonzenbach, Cynthia Selehert, Sandra Strobl, Gerry McFarland, Jack Boerger, Da’.e Raebel, Janice Splinter, Carol Vogel, Karen Griffin, Darla June, Marilyn Willett and George Jurgens. Mr. Merrill Sly directed the P ay.
