Homecoming was a success for the Indian’s fighting football team, a lucky senior girl, and a well-planned float. Activities for homecoming were started with an annual parade through town at which time judges picked Can the Cougars as the winning float. Cross Country Teams Profit By Hard Work The Varsity Cross Country team represented MHS very well in the 1976 season. By working hard the team obtained a season record of 9-3 and was fourth in the Conference and County Meets. This was the first year for a Junior High Cross Country team at Milan. Even though they did not have many wins, the junior high runners gained experience in competing against other area teams.
