Milan Football Teams Show Promise For Future Even though the varsity team ended with a 3-7 record, and the reserve had a 0-7 record, both teams developed leadership and pride throughout the year. They had rough competition from many area schools but the drive and determination proved that each team was ready and willing to fight. Despite being a difficult year for both var- sity and reserve, the coaches, players, and fans put out great efforts. Junior High Football at Milan High School prepares younger boys for high school football. This year was a time of learning new skills and rules. It helped the boys to build self-confidence. Although the Junior High did not have a winning season they were ready to move on to Jr. Varsity at the end of the year. INDIANS LEFT: Coach Ralston seeks help from above. Homecoming was a success for the Indian’s fighting football team, a lucky senior girl, and a well-planned float. Activities for homecoming were started with an annual parade through town at which time judges picked Can the Cougars as the winning float. Half-time activities included the crowning of Kim Cornett as Queen of Homecoming. The Milan Indians made Homecoming a complete success by trouncing the Cougars with a score of 40-0. RIGHT: C.
