The Milan High School Bulldogs approached the 1937 season with a substantial frame-work of veterans on which to build a team. The prospects lookedivery good with five letter men returning from the 1936 team, namelya G. Jones, Lassiter, Rsmer, Leech, and R. Jones. These together with Dunevan, Williams, and Ross were expected to furnish e strong aggregation of griddere. The team had only three weeks of prictice before the first game becsuse of the lets opening of school. Under the skillful handling of couches, Pittman and Brewer, the boys were put in fair shepe in time for the first game. The gume wee n see-sew effeir with the home teem exhibiting ebility in the fundamentals of the game. After u tiresome, us well as boring struggle, the boys munuged to put ecross e touchdown to wih by e score of 6-0.
