Mary joined the class of '38 in her Iunior year, and has proved to be a very conscientious student as well as a friend to all. After Mary becomes a nurse some of us won't mind becoming ill if we can have Mary as our nurse. Lots of luck. LEON T. cweni eclchev Associo ion SUMMARY OF PROGRAMS OCTOBER-Mrs. Iohn Rine and Mrs. Iohn Purnell gave reports of the National P. T. A. Convention which they attendeda at Richmond, Va. in May 1937. Moving pictures of Richmond were presented by Mrs. Purnell. The membership committee reported a total of 338 members enrolled for the year. NOVEMBER- Fathers Night was observed by special musical selections and a monologue by Rev. Schlegel. Mrs. Keiser of Sunbury, the past president of the Central District of P. T. A. gave a fine address. DECEMBER-The Girl Scouts under the leadership of Miss Elea- nor Radel were in charge of the program. They presented some folk dances and a playlet. IANUARY-Dr. Effie Ireland of the Laurelton State Village staff spoke on Social Diseases, a subject which was given special emphasis this year in P. T. A. organizations. FEBRUARY-Founders Day was observed and the Founders Day cake was chanced off and won by Mrs. F. P. Boyer. Mrs. Purnell spoke on the fundamentals of the P. T. A. A MARCH-Dr. F. P. Boyer spoke on the subject, The Home and the School. The officers for the next year were nominated. APRIL-The Third and Fifth Grades were the winners of the picnic for their attendance records. Mrs. Purnell installed the following officers for the following year: Mrs. Henry Dale, president: Mrs. Harry Haney, lst. Vice President: Mrs. O. R. Laney, Znd.
