Few oT us will be able To TorgeT The happy day liT will probably go down in hisToryl when we FIN- ALLY WON A FCOTBALL GAME!! lIT Took seven long years Tor Mid-gridironers To accomplish This TeaTl. lT didn'T maTTer ThaT Manual's eleven, lour vic- Timl was considered The cousin oT every Team in The loop. lT also didn'T maTTer by how many poinTs we won. All ThaT maTTered was ThaT aT long long lasT we had won! No sTudenT body was ever more proud oT Our Team Than we were. Looking back, how many of us wenT home and shed Tears aTTer our quinTeTTe dropped +ha+ hearTbreaker in overTime To Madison during The '52 campaign? . .. T-low many oT us Thrilled To The Triumphs oT The '53 Tennis Team, Midwood's TirsT CiTy Championship ouT- TiT? . . . And how many OT us can ever TorgeT The names oT Toorock, Dusenberry, ITshin, Murphy, Melni- coTT, AlTer, RubinsTein, FeTner, and all The oTher aTh- leTes among The graduaTing ranks who gave Their all in order To bring our school a liTTle glory?
