The convenfional Freshman iokes were played on us, we were sold elevafor passes, swimming pool permils, and fold wild rumors of fha? ever-presen+, yef non-exisrenf fifrh floor. We didn'+ know quire whal' 'ro make of fhe place. Now we are leaving, a bi+ ashamed of 'rhe sen+imen+al and sad feelings lhaf are becoming parf of us. Now we reminisce, laugh al whaf we used fo be and feel proud of whaf we are ioday. There were rhose firsf days as Midwoodifes. There was novel+y in 'lilling oul delaney cards, program cards, 'rransporiarion cards, and 6.0. cards. lToday 'rhey're regarded as iusf anofher way of geHing wrifer's cramp.l There was a shock as we realized, Gee, if's DARK when we gel ou+ of school. There were many oufslanding evenis-+he firsr day of +he 'Teachers' sfrike when ofher schools marched on Midwood fo persuade fhe siudenrs 'ro leave school and join fhem and we realized +ha+ 'the policemen really didn'+ believe us and weren'+ going 'ro lef us go fo school.
