DEDICATIO Five years ago a man said of Hardin, I came here not for what Hardin is but for what Hardin can bef' He was the new president of Hardin Junior College, speaking to his first Hardin student assembly., He was looking into the future, and somewhere along that misty view he was seeing the picture of a beautiful center of learning sprawled on a spacious Texas prairie-he was looking toward the future, greater Hardin College. That is how our Hardin of tomorrow was born-in the far-sightedness of this man. And when he began to make this picture a reality, he proved to be one of the most powerful dynamos of doing this area has ever moved behind. From a small junior college of three buildings, he has built in less than five years a senior college of over two thousand students that is still growing at a speed so great that one cannot estimate its size at any one time. This man is a builder, and the story of his building is phenomenalg yet it has not been done 'fWithout A Song. The foundation of all his work has been student good-will, and his cheerful fellowship has endeared him to thousands of students and parents. The story of Hardin today, and of Ha din in the future, is the story of this man's building. So, for his dynamic devotion to Hardin, for his cheerful good-will, and for all he has dedicated to the youth of today and tomorrow, the staff of the 1947 Wai-Kun humbly dedicates this yearbook to Our President, JAMES B. BOREN
