HFOREWGRD We Americans are a dreaming people, we dream of a white Christmas, of a green and balmy spring, of a golden harvest, and of Jeannie with the beautiful hair-we dream our ideals, and from those ideals is born the greatness that 'is America. This year has been one of great dreams for us. And for many American youths, it has marked the -return to normal, the first chance to really prepare for the future, to fulfill the latent dreams of the past four years. And to realiz-r those dreams, youth has turned to America's schools for leadership and has found that schools may also dream. Those who turned to Hardin have found it a year of many firsts -the first four-year curriculum, the first Hardin football team, the first big enrollment, the first national convention-but With dreams of a bigger and better future for the aggregate whole. Hardin, like her students, is gearing herself for the future-preparing larger and greater molds to shape more students into better citizens. What better theme could we, the staff of the 1947 Wai-Kun, choose to tell our story of the Indians than the theme of Looking Forward-To a Greater Hardin College? V Ottis Pack
